ADULT LEAGUE

We are a beginner friendly, small, non-checking, recreational hockey league for players of all skill levels, 18 years and older, male and female. It doesn’t matter if you are new to hockey or a seasoned vet we can find a place for you to hit the ice. 

Currently, the NAHL offers A Beginner level (E- league) Intermediate (D-League), Advanced (C-League) and Women's League hockey. 

Advanced C-League is open to players with higher skill levels, where Intermediate D-League is for players who skill level and experience are average. A Beginner level league is offered through the Lou Gibb Reese Ice Arena. Please check the rinks website for details to register.

All NAHL games are played at the Lou & Gibb Reece Ice Arena in Newark, Ohio. On rare occasions, some games may also be scheduled on other evenings. Currently, the "home night" for Beginner league is Sunday, for Intermediate Monday, and Advanced League on Wednesday nights. Women's league games take place on Sundays at 7:50pm.

The first step is to get skating. Watch the www.newarkicearena.com schedule for "adult drop-ins" or open skating times. Adult drop-ins are open times for players to play informal games. When you think you are ready for team play watch for registration to open on this website. Fall session registration generally opens around mid-September, winter session around the 1st of January. The NAHL is a USA Hockey sanctioned league, which means: All NAHL players are required to register with USA Hockey and are not allowed to play until valid proof of registration is presented to the league. Yearly USA Hockey dues are currently $50 for a season (September 1 to August 31 the following year). USA Hockey membership benefits include accident insurance for covered medical expenses and a monthly magazine. Registration can be easily obtained with a credit card by visiting the website: www.usahockeyregistration,.com. It takes only a few minutes to complete. If you are interested in signing up mid-season or have any other question(s) please email  info@newarkhockey.com. We hope to see on the ice!
